His leadership roles have taken him across the globe, from the USA to Kenya, where he has been pivotal in shaping the operational strategies of companies like Mobisol Kenya and Azuri. In April 2022, Hezbon took on the role of Country Director at Ampersand Energy, further solidifying his influence in the e-mobility sector. His commitment to the industry is also evident through his presidency of the Emobility Association of Kenya (EMAK) and his contribution to the Ministry of Transport’s Task Force in developing Kenya’s e-mobility policy. Hezbon’s academic background, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from St. Thomas University and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from St. Cloud University, provides a strong foundation for his professional endeavors. In addition, a Geographic Information Systems Expert, E-mobility Specialist, Care economy expert, and Sustainable Development Enthusiast who endeavors to use new technologies that build smart, resilient, adaptive and sustainable cities that improve quality of life for all. Since 2014, he has been involved in multiple projects in the preparation and implementation of Master plans; urban designs; mobility plans, policies and standards formulation, mapping, and feasibility studies. He currently serves as the Head of Public Affairs and previously as the Country Transit Executive and a Business developer at Roam Electric (previously Opibus) around the development of Electric mobility strategies, business models; E-mobility standards, policy formulation, deployment of charging infrastructure and making Electric Buses accessible all over Sub-Saharan Africa. Wakaba Holds a BA in Urban and Regional Planning, and is a founding member of Electric Mobility Association of Kenya (EMAK), a member of the KEBS technical committee on E-mobility, assisted in shaping charging infrastructure policies at national and county levels, as well as spearheaded the development of the Electric Mobility industry through policy and product. His current and future interests are to spearhead smart innovations in the fields of urban planning, climate/emissions mitigation, and E-mobility mainstreaming nationally and regionally. Dustin Kahler is the Director of M-KOPA Mobility, overseeing commercial and operational aspects of the company’s IoT-enabled electric vehicle asset financing business. Dustin is a 16 year veteran of the international investment, consumer credit and renewable energy industries, with a career spanning China, the U.S. and ten years across Africa. He has led or managed over $1Bn of debt and equity deployed into solar, wind, electric vehicles and inclusive asset finance. Dustin holds a B.A. from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and an MBA from IMD. He is an avid mountaineer and lives in Nairobi with his wife and three adventurous daughters. Steve Onyango is the Head of Finance at Watu Credit has an George is a professionsl logistician with over 20years experience in providing end to end solutions for customers. Over the years he has worked for many organizations notably DHL Global Forwarding. Siginon Group. Bollore. Dalbit Petroleum and ICRC. Some of the notable projects he has been involved in is the olkaria geothermal 2 project and the successful relocation of the endangered northern white rhino from the Czech Republic to Ol pajeta consevancy in Kenya.
